About YouTube
YouTube is an online video sharing platform from America. YouTube was founded by three friends Chad Hurley, Steve Chen and Jawed Karim. All three were employees of ‘PayPal’. The founders of YouTube started it as a video dating site. They activated this domain on Feb 14 2005, on valentine day. Its head office is located in San Bruno, California, United States. YouTube’s initial headquarters were located above a pizzeria and Japanese restaurant in San Mateo, California. But just 18 months after YouTube was created, Google bought it by spending 1.65 billion USD on Nov 13 2006. Right now, Susan Wojcicki is the CEO of YouTube. The first video, “Me at the Zoo“, was uploaded to YouTube on Apr 23 2005. According to the source, YouTube has 2.3 billion users in 2021.
